No two Tavulas are quite the same. The people, the food, and the setting change each time—but everyone arrives with something in common.
I’m Armen, the founder of Tavula. Some of my favorite nights are the ones where a few people end up cooking together, opening a bottle of wine, eating for way too long, and catching up or getting to know each other around the table.
I’ve cooked with friends and family in different parts of the world for more than a decade, and somewhere along the way I realized this is my favorite way to meet people.
I spent much of 2025 living in Palermo, Sicily, where food and everyday life seem to happen around the table. That was the push to finally make something out of an idea I’d had for a while.
Tavula means “table” in Sicilian. The idea is pretty simple: good food, people with something in common, and a reason to stay at the table a little longer.
